The Data Analyst serves as a primary data management point of contact for 30-40 clients and will be responsible for administration of MarshBerry’s proprietary database, assisting with product development, and research projects. The Data Analyst enters client data, produces reports, analyzes reports, and reviews results with clients. They will collaborate with the team on client projects and enhancements to performance benchmarking reports.\nThis individual will work a hybrid schedule out of our Beachwood, OH office, working onsite Monday through Thursday with the option to work remotely on Friday's.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as project manager and point of contact for 30-40 assigned clients and be responsible for data collection, formatting and report generation on a quarterly or annual basis.\nExtract data and generate reports for special requests and projects.\nEstablish and maintain positive client relationships.\nAssist with market research, surveys, client presentations, and various data analytics projects.\nAssist with product development and enhancements to MarshBerry products and\nAnswer client inquiries regarding Intellectual Capital products and services.\nDevelop and update procedures on a continual basis.\nProvide guidance to Analysts and Consultants on formatting of accounts, calculations of ratios, etc.\nTrain new team members and interns in Intellectual Capital processes and knowledge.\nComplete projects in desired timeframe utilizing prioritization skills to keep multiple projects progressing on target.\nCultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients, partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.\nSpecial projects and other tasks\nSelection Criteria\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPrior relevant experience, including experience collecting and analyzing data, is preferred but not required. Experience working with financial data is a plus.\nFamiliarity with data modeling concepts in the financial services and insurance industries is a plus but not required.\nHigh level of computer and software competency; proficient with database administration and infrastructure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.\nOther:\nAnalytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.\nStrong customer service skills.\nConfidentiality; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information and that of clients.\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal with demonstrated creativity with regard to Excellent spelling, grammar as well as good phone skills.\nExceptional organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or procedures.\nAbility to multi task; able to complete projects and responsibilities with extreme attention to detail according to required timelines and deadlines, along with capacity to work under pressure to create accurate results, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness and monitors works to ensure quality.\nMust be able to work in the Beachwood, OH office four days per week with one flex day to work from home. \nWorking at MarshBerry\nWho We Are:\nMarshBerry is a global leader in investment banking and strategic consulting for the financial services industry.
