Our hospital provides services including ER/ICU, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology.\nSchedu le: Part Time, Friday - Saturday\nCompensation: $22 - $25 / hr based on skill set, and experience.\nVisit us: VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center\nEach of our specialty departments utilizes advanced technology to provide state-of-the-art diagnostics and advanced treatments and therapies to care for patients, such as onsite CT and x-ray, ultrasonography, echocardiography, ECG, telemetry and oxygen therapy. As a member of the VCA team, your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent-by delivering an outstanding client experience-so they will partner with us for the lifelong care of their companion animals.\nOur hospital team provides an ideal setting to expand and develop skills in every area of our practice. We are currently looking for a part-time employee to join our team working two days a week,Saturdays are required.\nJob Responsibilities:\nClient communication: providing clients with daily updates, communicating lab results, reviewing discharge instructions, creating and going over estimates with clients, after discharge phone calls\nRecord Keeping: Sending referral letters, scanning and/or faxing records, calling referral veterinarians for medical records, entering charges, documenting client communications\nFilling prescriptions and reviewing post-op care with clients\nRestraint of patients\nSubmitting and running laboratory tests\nCoordinating appointments and discharges with surgeon and technicians\nSkills & Qualifications:\nMinimum of 1 year experience in veterinary field required, surgery knowledge preferred\nProfessional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude \nAbility to plan, organize, make decisions and communicate effectively \nAble to handle multiple tasks at once and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities\nWhy Join The VCA Family?\nWe are passionate about supporting Technicians and are committed to your personal career development.
