Our mission is simple: build lasting partnerships and deliver technology-driven outcomes that fuel business success.\nThe Opportunity\nAs the Director of our newly formed Professional Services Group (PSG), you will be the consulting lead for a portfolio of key client accounts. You will make sure every engagement is well scoped, meets Martin's quality standards, and delivers the outcomes we promised our clients.\nIn this role, you help define what great looks like. You set the requirements and standards for each engagement before our Operations team staffs and executes the work. That frees you to focus on what matters most: understanding client needs, scoping work precisely, safeguarding quality, and growing long-term client relationships.\nThis role is ideal for an experienced P&C insurance consultant who combines deep domain expertise with executive presence, enjoys leading senior client relationships, and wants to help shape a growing professional services practice. This is a remote position reporting to our Chief Professional Services Officer. Limited travel may be required for client meetings and company events.\nKey Responsibilities\nScoping and Business Development \nDiscovery and scoping: Lead discovery and scoping for new opportunities, defining client requirements, deliverables, and delivery assumptions.\nDeal review: Represent the Professional Services Group in reviews of complex or nonstandard engagements before commitments are made.\nScope management: Own changes to engagement scope, partnering with Sales on pricing and with Operations on capacity and timing.\nClient Leadership \nTrusted advisor: Serve as the primary consulting contact and a trusted advisor for your client accounts, including ongoing support for our largest clients.\nAccount growth: Lead value-focused renewal conversations and identify follow-on work and opportunities to expand client relationships.\nClient outcomes: Make sure every client sees measurable value from their engagement with Martin.\nQuality and Standards \nPeer review: Conduct quality reviews on large and first-time projects before they are delivered to clients.\nContinuous improvement: Maintain and improve the quality checklists used on routine work, and capture lessons learned across engagements.\nPartnership and Practice Building \nDelivery partnership: Provide clearly scoped work to our Operations team regarding client deliverables. Collaborate with Operations, provide input on staffing for key accounts, and partner on milestones, expectations, and project health.\nPractice development: Contribute to consulting methodologies, playbooks, and reusable assets, and identify services that could be standardized or productized.\nMentorship: Mentor consultants in P&C domain knowledge and consultative skills.\nQualifications\nRequired \n10+ years of experience in P&C insurance, including at least 5 years leading client-facing consulting engagements \nDeep knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle, including product development, regulatory compliance, and state filings \nProven success scoping complex engagements and managing scope throughout delivery \nExecutive presence and the credibility to advise, and constructively push back with, senior client stakeholders \nA track record of setting clear standards and leading through others \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nAttention to detail and quality \nExperience with simultaneously managing multiple projects and stakeholders \nPreferred \nExperience at a consulting firm, carrier, or MGA serving multiple insurance lines \nExperience supporting technology-enabled services, platforms, or software implementations \nExperience building consulting methodologies, playbooks, or quality programs \nExperience and desire to be a People Manager is a plus, as this role will grow to have direct reports \nWhy Join Us?\nGrowth-Oriented Culture: Work with a leadership team committed to innovation and revenue expansion.\nCompetitive Earning Potential: Base salary plus bonus potential, profit sharing, and a comprehensive benefits package that rewards expertise and contributions.\nLegacy of Excellence: Be part of a well-respected organization with over 30 years of leadership in the insurance industry.\nDynamic Team Culture: Work alongside talented colleagues who are passionate, driven, and committed to success.\nSalary and Benefits\nThe base salary for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. Final salary offer will be based on several factors, including commensurate experience, qualifications, and skills.
