You will work closely with superintendents, project teams, Onsite Safety Coordinators, and company leadership to promote a strong safety culture through training, inspections, coaching, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis role requires a highly organized professional with exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills who can effectively balance field operations with administrative responsibilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety Leadership & Compliance\nPromote and maintain a culture of safety across all assigned Martin Concrete Construction projects.\nEnsure assigned projects have qualified and trained Onsite Safety Coordinators.\nMonitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, PPE requirements, and corporate safety standards.\nCoach and support superintendents, foremen, and field personnel in maintaining safe work practices.\nDevelop and implement initiatives that strengthen the company's overall safety culture.\nJobsite Inspections & Audits\nConduct monthly documented safety inspections for assigned projects.\nPerform routine field safety observations and compliance checks.\nSubmit inspection reports within 24 hours and immediately communicate serious safety concerns.\nReview project safety documentation to ensure records remain accurate, complete, and compliant.\nEnsure project safety boxes remain properly stocked with required forms and materials.\nTraining & Employee Development\nTrain, mentor, and develop assigned Onsite Safety Coordinators.\nSchedule and conduct required OSHA and company safety training.\nProvide regular training updates to superintendents and project teams.\nAssist field personnel in developing engaging Toolbox Talks and Job Safety Analysis meetings that encourage employee participation.\nIncident Management\nManage employee injuries, vehicle accidents, and equipment damage incidents.\nCollect and submit required documentation while coordinating with insurance providers.\nAssist in resolving employee safety concerns promptly and professionally.\nAdministrative & Project Support\nMaintain employee safety records, training documentation, and departmental files.\nPrepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and training materials.\nAnswer internal and external safety-related inquiries.\nCoordinate departmental meetings, travel arrangements, and administrative activities.\nMaintain safety supply inventory and coordinate ordering of PPE and safety materials.\nDevelop and continuously improve project-specific safety documentation.\nTeam Collaboration\nRepresent the Safety Department during Project Kick-Off Meetings, Operations Meetings, Post-Job Wrap-Up Meetings, and other assigned meetings.\nCollaborate with the Safety Management Team to improve processes and promote continuous safety improvement.\nAssist with planning company safety meetings, leadership events, and employee training initiatives.\nFoster positive working relationships with employees, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and company leadership.\nWhat We're Looking For\nA safety-focused leader who leads by example and promotes accountability.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.\nAn organized professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nAn effective communicator who enjoys mentoring, coaching, and developing others.\nA proactive problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.\nSomeone who values teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.\nA leader who builds trust through consistency, integrity, and collaboration.\nMinimum Qualifications\nAdministrative experience in a professional or corporate environment.\nStrong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong time management and multitasking abilities.\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBilingual (English/Spanish).\nPrevious experience in Human Resources or Safety Administration.\nConstruction safety experience.\nOSHA certifications or related safety credentials.\nJob Characteristics\nFast-paced construction environment with multiple active projects.\nFrequent interaction with field personnel, project leadership, and executive management.\nCombination of office administration and field responsibilities.\nHigh level of organization, communication, and follow-through required.\nSignificant focus on leadership, coaching, compliance, and continuous improvement.\nOpportunity to make a direct impact on employee safety and company culture.\nWhy Join Martin Concrete Construction?\nAt Martin Concrete Construction, safety is more than a priority-it is a core value.
