This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with a variety of structural materials. This position will provide opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural design and existing building investigations and retrofits.\nA typical work week can include drawing development, project coordination, engineering calculations, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. Walton School of Medicine, and Harborcenter.\nResponsibilities\nEngage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle.\nManage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality project documentation using computer design and graphics software programs.\nAct as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding career development, design techniques, software, and code questions.\nDevelop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.\nBuild lasting relationships with clients through project work and business development activities.\nRequirements\nRequired\nRegistered Professional Engineer\nBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum \nA minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience 1 year of professional experience equivalencies include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, OR passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam \n\nDemonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects\nMust be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nAbility to work in the Denver area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.\nDesired\nTime management and organization skills needed to plan and execute projects\nStrong commitment to continued professional development\nParticipating member of professional and/or technical societies\nHas a PE license in the state of his/her/their home office\nPassed the 16-hour structural engineering exam\nSuccessfully managed multiple projects and followed them from start of design to completion of construction\nEffective at communicating and working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues\nWillingness to take on additional work and responsibility\nCompensation\nThe wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.\nBase Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $92,000 to $113,000 annually. \nAccrued Time: This is a salaried position with accrued time eligibility.
