With more than 50 years of experience and an expanding presence across Wisconsin, we deliver dependable solutions for homes, businesses, and communities and we’re hiring people who want to make a real difference.\nRole Overview\nA Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, servicing,\ntroubleshooting, and repairing low voltage systems, including but not limited\nto Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Nurse Calls, and Intercom\nsystems. The Technician must be a role model to the organization with regards\nto integrity, commitment to results, inspiring teamwork and building on our\nstrong culture of employee recognition while delivering legendary service to\nour customers, both internal and external.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram,start-up, troubleshoot and commission new system installation.\n\nPerformsbasic point-to-point troubleshooting on Fire Alarms, Access Control\nSystems, CCTV, Nurse Calls and Intercom systems and other systems, as\nrequired.\n\nClearlycommunicate with project lead and client on project status, challenges,\nand completion dates.\n\nAssistwith installation projects, with direction for a successful installation.\n\nIdentifyinstallation or system issues to project lead.\n\nReviewcontract and design documents related to the project for accuracy prior to\ninstallation of system.\n\nPerforminspections to ensure alarms are installed and working according to code.\n\nCompletedetailed project reports.\n\nRespondto emergency service calls.\n\nMaintainsstrong written and effective oral communication skills for both internal\nand external clients.\n\nDemonstratesattention to detail to ensure successful resolution to customer\nrequirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.\n\nShifttimes may vary based on assignments made by the SPM or GM.\n\nCanbe required to works a rotating on-call schedule.\n\nRequiredto have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work\non-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.\n\nPerforms other duties asassigned.\n\nQualifications\n3-5 years experience with Fire Alarms\nHigh School Diploma orequivalent\n\nCollege graduates with arelated degree or equivalent college coursework, preferred\n\nValid Driver’s License\nNICET I certification, preferred \nKnowledge of low voltagesystems, including but not limited to Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems,\nCCTV, and Intercom systems\n\nPossess both technical andcomputer skills\n\nEffective communicationskills, both written and oral\n\nAbility to use lifts for workthat exceeds ladder limitations\n\nAbility to regularly carry tools and multi-meter usage\nMust be comfortable reporting to a Project Manager \nWork Requirements\nPosition requires climbingladders, frequent walking, stooping, crawling, pushing, balancing, lifting\nof more than 75 lbs. and operating heavy equipment\n\nWorks in confined areas,stockroom, closets, etc. above and below ground level\n\nAbility to travel with a crewand ride a
