Marvell has over 8,000 employees worldwide and approximately 2,000 employees at its India locations in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. This role will provide legal support and advice on a variety of employment, privacy, intellectual property, regulatory, and litigation matters. This role will perform legal research, draft legal documents, and serve as a trusted advisor to the business teams. You will work within a dynamic global Legal team and report to Senior Counsel, Marvell India. This position will be based in Marvell’s Bangalore office and requires onsite presence five days per week.\nWhat You Can Expect\nProvide legal support and advice to within Marvell’s India operations on a variety of commercial, employment, and regulatory matters\n\nAssist with drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts and other legal documents\n\nConduct legal review of Marvell’s business initiatives, provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate innovation\n\nSupport negotiations by preparing research, first drafts, and issue lists\n\nSupport litigation and claims, and negotiations of disputes\n\nPrepare, revise, and enhance Company policies and procedures in line with global policies and standards\n\nWork with external legal counsel regarding specific matters requiring expert advice\n\nConduct and oversee internal investigations\n\nSupport design and delivery of training\n\nCollaboratively work with cross functional, and geographically diverse stakeholders to drive matters to completion\n\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks\n\nLearn Marvell’s products and services, industry and regulatory standards, and internal practices and ways of working\n\nAdapt to ambiguity, remain open to new ideas, and adjust to changing needs and priorities\n\nPerform other legal support tasks as assigned by Senior Counsel, India\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nQualified to practice law in India with active Bar Admission\n\nBachelor’s degree in law from top tier law school\n\n3-6 minimum years of relevant in-house or law firm experience (as licensed counsel)\n\nCorporate legal related legal disciplines strongly preferred\n\nProven knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks in India\n\nStrong legal research and writing skills\n\nDemonstrated understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks\n\nAbility to apply foundational legal or regulatory theories to legal matters; learns quickly through coaching\n\nProactively takes initiative, responds effectively to changing priorities, and delivers results with urgency across a broad range of matters.\n\nAbility to support and conduct negotiations\n\nExperience drafting demand letters, discovery, litigation briefing, and settlement agreements preferred\n\nExperience conducting and/or advising on workplace investigations preferred\n\nAccepts feedback; proactively learns and identifies learning opportunities\n\nAdapts to ambiguity, is open to new ideas, and adjusts to changing needs\n\nAbility to handle tasks independently with minimal supervision, while receiving regular direction from Senior Counsel or other legal team members\n\nAccountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently\n\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple assigned tasks\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language\n\nExperience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization, with demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities\n\nHighly approachable, collegial, and collaborative team player\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)\n\nAbility to work individually and as part of a team in a cross-cultural environment\n\nWillingness and ability to travel within country as needed for business purposes\n\nThis role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.\nAdditional Compensation and Benefit Elements\nWith competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity.
