We offer semiconductor components and optical subsystems to our networking original equipment manufacturer (OEM), optical module, cloud and telecom service provider customers.As a Silicon Photonics Intern in the Optical Interconnect team, you will contribute to silicon photonics devices and integrated circuits that power next-generation high-speed optical links for AI and cloud data centers.\nWhat You Can Expect\nWork with the optical component / photonic integrated circuit design flow used in industry.\nWork with the design constraints and trade-offs that must be considered in industry.\nDesign, simulate and model innovative silicon photonic devices (e.g., modulators, photodetectors, waveguides, couplers, filters) and high-speed optical interfaces, taking industry requirements into account.\nSupport characterization and validation of silicon photonic devices and correlate measurements with simulation and models.\nAnalyze and present data and ideas to the team and to a diverse audience.\nCollaborate with design, packaging, test and product teams.\nWhat We're Looking For\nStudent in a Ph.D. degree program in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Optical Engineering or a related field.\nSolid understanding of one or more of the following: 1. Semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors, lasers and other waveguide devices, with familiarity or direct experience of optical simulation software tools and/or optical device modeling. 2.
