Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.\nAt Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.\nYour Team, Your Impact\nThe next generation of AI infrastructure depends on how efficiently data moves. As cloud providers expand their AI clusters, optical connectivity is essential to delivering the bandwidth, reach, and power efficiency these systems demand.Marvell’s Cloud Optics organization develops the advanced optical technologies that help make this expansion possible. Our portfolio spans connectivity within data centers, across campuses, and between data centers-including PAM4 optical digital signal processors (DSPs), coherent-lite DSPs, co-packaged optical engines, and data center interconnect (DCI) optical modules.\nJoin a team working at the intersection of silicon photonics, advanced semiconductor design, packaging, and system integration. Here, you will help turn complex engineering innovations into production-ready solutions that enable cloud and AI infrastructure to scale.\nWhat You Can Expect\nAs a Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer - Program Manager, you will own the execution of complex hardware optical programs from initial planning through qualification, customer sampling, and production ramp. This is not management for a single chip development; you will manage multiple concurrent hardware development lines all culminating into a single module product. You will connect technical ambition with disciplined delivery, aligning engineering and business teams around a clear path to successful hardware product introduction.\nYour ownership extends beyond an individual silicon tapeout. You will orchestrate the interdependent activities required to deliver complete optical solutions, bringing together photonics, analog design, packaging, validation, supply planning, operations, and finance.Your decisions will help teams resolve technical and operational challenges, protect critical milestones, and deliver the connectivity needed for increasingly demanding AI workloads. This is a high-visibility opportunity to influence product execution, partner with technical leaders, and communicate directly with senior executives.\nOwn end-to-end hardware program delivery. Lead program initiation, strategic planning, tracking, and execution through Marvell’s Product and IP Lifecycle Processes, from concept to production readiness and ramp.\nBuild an integrated execution plan. Translate product requirements and engineering objectives into actionable schedules, resource plans, milestones, and measurable deliverables.\n Lead cross-functional alignment. Coordinate photonics design, analog design, packaging, TO/FO, hardware manufacturing, design validation testing (DVT), reliability qualification, planning and supply management, operations, and finance across multiple development sites.\nManage concurrent development efforts. Align silicon subsystems, optical engines, and final product deliverables while resolving competing priorities and resource constraints.\nDrive critical product milestones. Establish readiness criteria and track progress through test and evaluation, reliability qualification, customer sampling, production acceptance, and ramp.\nAnticipate and mitigate risks. Identify schedule, technical, material, and resource risks early; assign mitigation owners; and drive timely resolution and escalation.\nManage program dependencies. Track internal and external interdependencies, surface misalignments, and coordinate corrective actions before they affect delivery.\nCreate clear accountability. Lead weekly cross-functional reviews and regular program updates, maintaining visibility into decisions, commitments, open issues, and recovery plans.\nCommunicate with precision. Deliver concise reports and executive presentations that explain program health, milestone changes, business implications, and decisions needed.\nGuide execution tradeoffs. Partner with engineering and business leaders to balance performance, quality, cost, schedule, and customer requirements.\nWork alongside the team in Santa Clara. This full-time position requires office attendance five days per week; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.\n\nAt Marvell, you will combine meaningful program ownership with exposure to advanced optical and semiconductor technologies. You will work closely with specialists across disciplines, strengthen your technical leadership, and see your efforts progress from early development into products supporting cloud and AI infrastructure at scale.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; a master’s degree or PhD is a plus.\nSubstantial relevant industry experience, preferably 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with a master’s degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.\n5+ years of hardware project or program management experience in the semiconductor industry, with demonstrated ownership of complex development programs.\nProven ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts and deliver both silicon subsystems and complete customer products.\nTechnical fluency sufficient to engage engineering teams, understand development dependencies, and guide informed execution decisions.\nExceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to motivate geographically distributed teams and influence without direct authority.\nStrong risk identification, analysis, and problem-solving capabilities, including experience developing mitigation and recovery plans.\nSound judgment in balancing internal business objectives with customer requirements.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex program information clearly to engineering teams and executives.\nExperience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable program management software.\nProficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Agile, and Jira.\nA collaborative approach, strong follow-through, and a track record of creating clarity and accountability across functions. \nExperience that will help you stand out:\nBackground in optical connectivity, silicon photonics, high-speed interconnects, or advanced semiconductor packaging.\nExperience coordinating hardware validation, reliability qualification, new product introduction, and production ramp.\nFamiliarity with material readiness, supply constraints, and the operational dependencies involved in bringing optical or semiconductor products to market.\nBring your technical perspective and program leadership to Marvell-and help deliver the optical connectivity that enables the next wave of cloud and AI innovation.\nExpected Base Pay Range (USD)\n132,610 - 198,600, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.\n\nThis role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.\nAdditional Compensation and Benefit Elements\nMarvell is committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive benefits that support our employees at every stage - from internship to retirement and through life’s most important moments. Our offerings are built around four key pillars: financial well-being, family support, mental and physical health, and recognition. Highlights include an employee stock purchase plan with a 2-year look back, family support programs to help balance work and home life, robust mental health resources to prioritize emotional well-being, and a recognition and service awards to celebrate contributions and milestones. We look forward to sharing more with you during the interview process. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.\nAny applicant who requires a reasonable accommodation during the selection process should contact Marvell HR Helpdesk at .\nInterview Integrity\nTo support fair and authentic hiring practices, candidates are not permitted to use AI tools (such as transcription apps, real-time answer generators like ChatGPT or Copilot, or automated note-taking bots) during interviews.\nThese tools must not be used to record, assist with, or enhance responses in any way.
