This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys being hands-on with equipment and applying automation skills directly on the plant floor. The primary focus of this role will be on automation and automatic controls related troubleshooting, repairs and day-to-day operational support. A secondary focus includes supporting controls related equipment improvement and upgrade projects, such as equipment upgrades, improvements, program changes and improvements, upgrading or improving control panel wiring, and creating or updating schematics.\nIn this role, you’ll work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Automation & Controls Technicians, Engineers, and Operations, responding to floor calls, resolving automation and controls issues, and ensuring equipment reliability. If you enjoy diagnosing problems in real time and using your knowledge of control systems to help keep production running, this could be a great fit.\nSchedule:\nMonday - Thursday, 6:30 PM - 6:45 AM\nPay:\n$29.00-38.00/hour (based on experience) + 20% Night Shift Premium\nHighlights of your role\nProvide troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance support for PLC-controlled automation and control systems\nDiagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components\nPerform timely machine wiring, sensor replacement, control panel troubleshooting support\nUtilize maintenance systems to document repair requests, track issues, and support preventive maintenance activities.\nCollaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support safe and efficient production\nYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)\nTwo-year technical degree preferred, such as Mechatronics, Industrial technology, or a related field\n Three or more years of relevant experience with industrial automation or control systems may substitute for a degree\nPLC programming experience or education\nAbility to communicate effectively throughout various department levels\nWe invite you to See Yourself at Marvin\nMarvin Composites produces custom fiberglass components used in many of the premium windows and doors manufactured by Marvin, a family-owned and -led company.
