The Supervisor I reports to the Production Superintendent and provides direct oversight and coaching to a Production Senior.\nHighlights of your role\nMaintain strong presence on the production floor throughout the shift to monitor operations, support employees, and respond to issues in real time.\nManage production flow and staffing, ensuring resources are aligned to meet shift production goals and resolve bottlenecks.\nServe as a Safety Leader and Safety Champion, enforcing safe work practices, correcting hazards immediately, coaching employees, and driving performance toward safety metrics (TCIR, DART, PPE compliance, audits).\nProvide operator support and coaching, ensuring employees understand expectations, follow procedures, and have the tools and guidance needed to succeed.\nOversee and coach the Production Senior, ensuring alignment on priorities, communication, and execution of shift-level responsibilities.\nExecute a clear and accurate EOS handoff between shifts, communicating production status, issues, priorities, and follow-up actions.\nEnsure quality assurance by monitoring product standards, enforcing non-conformance procedures, and achieving departmental quality goals and checks.\nLead employee development, including onboarding, cross-training, skill validation, mentoring, and performance feedback for both hourly employees and the Production Senior.\nDrive Continuous Improvement (CI) by identifying problems, implementing solutions, supporting improvement initiatives, and encouraging employee participation.\nAct as a culture champion, modeling company values, reinforcing expectations, and translating organizational goals into daily behaviors and actions.\nMaintain full crew ownership, including attendance management, performance oversight, accountability, and positive employee relations.\nEnsure adherence to the training schedule, including timely completion of required training, documentation, and validation activities.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide clear communication of goals, expectations, and results in both individual and group settings.\nSupport plant-wide objectives in safety, quality, delivery, production volume, waste reduction, and workforce stability. \nYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)\nAssociate degree or equivalent; OR\n6-12 months related experience/training; OR\nEquivalent combination of education and experience.\n2-5 years of supervisory experience\nStrong leadership and communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and operational documents.\nBasic math proficiency (fractions, decimals, percentages, graphs).\nProblem-solving and decision-making skills.\nBasic computer proficiency.\nDemonstrated ability in teamwork, adaptability, ethics, and continuous improvement. \nAlso want to make sure you have\nPhysical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing.\nOccasional sitting, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and smelling.\nAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally.\nVision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.\n\nWork EnvironmentExposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, vibration, and occasional wet/humid conditions.\nReasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. \n\nWe invite you to See Yourself at Marvin\nFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
