There is a defined career path with opportunities for growth within the Purchasing Department.\nHighlights of your role\nPlace Purchase Orders and Work Orders: Use MRP systems to manage purchase and work orders, ensuring material availability for production.\nReview Open Order Reports: Address past due purchase orders.\nReview Shortage Reports: Monitor and prioritize critical shortages, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders for expedited deliveries.\nProcess Material Reject Reports: Follow standardized processes for material rejects, ensuring production materials meet specifications.\nRequest Backhauls: Coordinate logistics to optimize deliveries and reduce transportation costs.\nSDL/Skips and Shortage Maintenance: Identify and communicate solutions for material shortages.\nCritical WIP Counts: Validate non-nettable inventory to prevent production disruptions.\nReview Accounts Payable invoicing for accuracy.\nPlace PO’s for Requisition Requests: Purchase indirect materials using the requisition approval process.\nUpdate MRP Drivers: Ensure MRP system parameters are current and accurate for optimal inventory management.\nUpdate historical production data in the forecasting system.\nYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)\nComputer proficiency (ICIM, Word, Excel)\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to read and understand material prints and specifications\nUnderstanding of material quality requirements, processes and procedures\nAbility to analyze inventory usage and requirements\nLeadership skills\nPurchasing processes and systems knowledge\nNegotiating skills\n2 or 4 year business related degree is preferrable\nPrior purchasing experience a plus\nKnowledge/experience of Marvin products is a plus\nWe invite you to See Yourself at Marvin\nFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
