This role provides hands-on experience in a window and door manufacturing environment and offers opportunities to work alongside engineering, production, quality, maintenance, and safety teams.\nThe intern will gain practical experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process optimization, and project management while contributing to initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.\nThis internship is located at our Roanoke, Virginia production facility.\nWork Monday-Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm\nPay starts at $21.50/hr\nHighlights of your role\nManufacturing Process Support\nAssist engineers in supporting daily manufacturing operations.\nObserve manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.\nAssist with documenting manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nContinuous Improvement\nParticipate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.\nAssist with kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.\nSupport root-cause analysis activities (A3).\nData Analysis & Reporting\nGather production and quality data from manufacturing systems.\nCreate reports, charts, and presentations to support decision-making.\nTrack project metrics and improvement results.\nSupport return-on-investment (ROI) and cost-savings calculations for engineering projects.\nYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in:\nMechanical Engineering\nIndustrial Engineering\nManufacturing Engineering\nRelated Engineering Discipline\n\nStrong interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\nAlso want to make sure you have\nPrevious manufacturing, technical, or internship experience.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts.\nExperience using CAD software.\nKnowledge of data analysis tools and statistical methods.\nExperience with project-based coursework.\nWe invite you to See Yourself at Marvin\nFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
