At Marvin Composites, we manufacture composite fiberglass window frame materials, renowned for quality and innovation.\nIn this Tool and Die internship, you’ll get hands-on experience with our CNC machines, wire EDM’s and CNC surface grinders, in a learning environment with our Tool and Die makers and see how to make pultrusion and extrusion tooling. Your initiative will help you operate CNC machines while building custom tooling. As you work with our Tool and die makers and innovative processes and custom work on our CNC equipment, you’ll directly contribute to tooling that makes a real impact on production.\nThis is a paid internship. It is full-time during the summer and part-time with a flexible schedule during the school year. We’re looking for candidates available to work year-round, balancing their academic schedules and professional growth.\nHighlights of your role\nParticipate making pultrusion and extrusion tooling designed for and by Marvin Composites for production use\nAcquire practical experience in programming and setups on a variety of VMC machining centers which include Hurco, Mazak, Mori Seki, Agie\nLearn how to work with tool steel and stainless steel along with other materials\nYou will get to learn how to set up and hard mill die mold tool steel and our finishing process\nLearn how to heat treat tool steel and other steel materials\nLearn the basics of CNC grinding as well as operating manual grinders\nLearn to use inspection and gauging equipment for part setups and final inspection\nGain hands-on experience with our Senior Tool Makers to gain practical skills for a career in tool and die making\nYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)\nExperience with CAD/CAM software\nAble to read and write machine code\nMachine and program troubleshooting\nExperience with reading blueprints\nExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plus\nAlso want to make sure you have\nPursuing a technical degree in Precision Machining, or a related machining field\nWe invite you to See Yourself at Marvin\nMarvin Composites produces custom fiberglass components used in many of the premium windows and doors manufactured by Marvin, a family-owned and -led company.
