The ideal candidate is eager to take on new challenges and to discover new cultures and environments.\n\nWe offer long term (indefinite, French “CDI”) employment.\n\nFor further information please visit our website: www.masae-analytics.com\n\nJob description\n\nKey aspects of the Project Manager – Geospatial Data Scientist mission will be to:\n\n- Manage projects from start to end:\n\no Interact with clients throughout projects and their delivery\n\no Design and implement innovative data science approaches\n\no Produce analytical reports and presentations\n\n- Contribute to the development of Masae’s toolbox and processes\n\n- Keep track of technology developments and new applications\n\n- Maintain a general knowledge in our areas of interest (remote sensing and applications to climate monitoring, land use changes detection, existing open-data sources in our geographies of interest, etc.)\n\n Requirements\n\nGeneral requirements:\n\n- University degree in data science / geospatial analytics\n\n- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in data science\n\n- Ability to write and present clearly to non-technical audiences\n\n- Flexibility, attention to details and strong work ethics\n\n- Genuine curiosity: you follow recent papers and tools in geospatial and AI, and enjoy trying them out on real problems\n\n- Eagerness to travel and to discover new culture\n\n- Interest in international development and in humanitarian issues\n\n- Very good English skills\n\nTechnical requirements:\n\n- Solid Python skills, data science environments (Jupyter, pandas/NumPy, scikit-learn), and the usual geospatial stack (geopandas, rasterio/xarray, GDAL, QGIS)\n\n- Hands-on experience with satellite imagery or geospatial analysis\n\n- Knowledge of unix shell (OS X / Linux)\n\n- Good working knowledge of Git and Docker\n\nNice to have:\n\n- Knowledge of SQL and of its open-source implementations (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite)\n\n- Experience building LLM-based workflows or agents\n\n- Experience in deep learning for imagery analysis\n\n- Knowledge of geographic analysis tools (PostGIS, QGIS) and of its Python libraries\n\n- Cloud-native geospatial tools (STAC, OpenEO, Google Earth Engine)\n\nWe know great candidates come from different paths.
