This role requires technical expertise in product design and manufacturing, balanced with leadership, project management, and communication skills.\nPRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead and develop engineering staff to grow their technical expertise to solve complex problems.\n\nStrong understanding engineering principles, product development processes (stage-gate), and manufacturing processes\n\nManage and develop product solutions from idea conception through product launch.\n\nManage and develop cost optimization (Total Cost Productivity) solutions\n\nSupport resolution of quality, customer, and manufacturing issues as they arise\n\nProficient at problem-solving and decision making to address complex technical challenges\n\nEnsure product compliance and facilitate problem-solving by employing root cause analysis\n\nKnowledge of DOE and statistical tools\n\nEstablish departmental KPIs and provide monthly performance reporting\n\nPlan, schedule, coordinate, and manage resources for development of product solutions consistent with established objectives, compliance requirements, timelines, and budgets.\n\nCollaborate and leverage internal and external teams, including quality, product compliance, procurement, product management, and manufacturing teams to ensure products are designed and evaluated to meet compliance targets.\n\nArticulate product requirements, progress, and challenges to team members and stakeholders\n\nDevelop test methods, standards, and protocols supporting the implementation of product designs\n\nPrepare reports and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering\n\nMinimum 10 years of experience working in product development, familiarity with stage-gate process\n\nMinimum 5 years of people leadership experience\n\nProject Management experience managing multiple projects\n\nWorking knowledge and experience with technical tools\n\nAbility to travel (15-20%)\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMaster’s in mechanical engineering\n\nExperience in plumbing, building materials or manufacturing industries.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\nDemonstrated skill in being detail-oriented, organized work, setting priorities, and sound decision making\n\nTechnical aptitude and familiarity with machining molding & assembly manufacturing processes\n\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, with strong written, verbal, active listening, leadership, and interpersonal skills\n\nDemonstrated collaborative approach to learning and performing.\n\nHiring Range: $103,700 - $150,000\nActual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.\nABOUT US\nBrassCraft Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, and plumbing service and repair parts for the new construction and repair/remodel markets.
