The machines and / or processes include Vacuum Forming, Robotic Trim Cell, pack out and glue applications. Specific tasks include machine set-up, uptime, change-over, preventive maintenance, product quality and output, problem solving and trouble shooting. This position requires a person who can effectively support a Lean manufacturing and team-based production facility through continuous improvement efforts. They will learn and then apply the tools of Lean, Shop Floor Management, Masco Operating System, and core values of People, Credibility, High Performance Teams, Customer Service and Continuous Improvement - Innovation. A S.O 5 must be able to perform each essential duty well (accurately, organized, and timely), be customer focused, have a positive attitude, and willing to work overtime. The candidate should have a desire in continual improvement in themselves and the business processes they work in.\nEssential Duties / Tasks (including but not limited to):\nPerform tasks according to standard work and control plans.\nMachine set-up and change over.\nOperate electro-mechanical production equipment.\nProduce acceptable quality parts. \nInspect parts according to product quality requirements.\nMachine output \nMachine uptime and yield\nComplete Preventive maintenance and machine trouble shooting\nMeasuring and mixing \nCleaning equipment\nGenerate ideas and solutions. \nProblem solving using continuous improvement tools.\nPerform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards. \nPerform ERGO stretches. \nWork safely while performing job duties. \nComplete hazard observations or observe unsafe actions and report both using Delta’s standard procedures. \nAccept / Reject parts to DS-500 specifications.\nEducation, Experience / Skills:\nHS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.\nPrior machine experience is desired.\nProblem solving and trouble shooting skills.\nWilling to work necessary overtime.\nLift up to 50 lbs.\nCertified in confined spaces, fall protection and other required safety training or willing to achieve certification in all training.\nAble to work independently or with limited supervision. \nAcceptable disciplinary performance - Employees who have received a written warning (first or second) are not eligible for promotions or transfers for a minimum of six months after receiving that warning.\nAcceptable attendance performance - Employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers.\nA human performance evaluation or HPE is an evaluation of a person’s physical ability to do a job.
