The role ensures consistent implementation of the control framework across group operations and contributes to continuous process improvements, working closely with first-line ops and GRC.3\nDimensions\nScope of work\nCovers proofing and quality assurance for reconciliation and control breaks across all group operations verticals.\n\nScope includes review of monthly reconciliation proofing, aging validation, and QA sampling in UAE and IBG operations.\n\nService Level Management Track adherence to reconciliation closure timelines (T+3, etc.)\n\nMaintain performance dashboards with metrics across divisions and platforms\n\nIdentify breaches to the QA KPIs aligned with ERF and Group Operations KRIs\n\nMonitor early warning triggers for high-risk or aging items\n\nQuality Review\nMonthly quality assurance sampling of reconciled items\n\nTracking accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of proofing controls\n\nRaising exceptions to the CRU head and relevant BU operations for resolution\n\nConducting periodic health-checks aligned with audit and GRC guidelines\nSupports standardization of QA templates, monthly packs, and internal MIS submissions.\nKey Interfaces\nWorks with a cross-functional team of operations units, reconciliation SMEs, internal control leads, and CRU members.\n\n4\nKey Result Areas\nValidate and review monthly proofing data submitted by operations teams, identify gaps, and ensure action closure.\nSupport QA testing protocols for reconciliation, governance, aging, and exception handling.\nEnsure proper documentation and audit trail of validations, issues, and escalations.\nSupport training sessions and awareness programs for reconciliation hygiene and first-line QA.\nTrack compliance with control SLAs and highlight non-adherence trends to the lead.\nContribute to thematic reviews and sample-based testing cycles.\n5\nOperating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships\nOperates independently from the CRU but in close coordination\nEnterprise-wide scope across Group Operations and Business Units\nCovers both UAE and international operations including Egypt, Pakistan, India, and IBG branches\nMaintains reporting line into GRC - not embedded within the CRU to preserve independent assurance role\nAligned with ERF governance manual, APPM, ORM Guidelines and reporting templates.\nWorks within a cross-functional, multi-country environment.\nExpected to define and enforce centralized standards and controls while balancing local branch needs.\nWorks with constrained resources in a transformation phase and must effectively build team capacity.\nWorking Relationships\nDirectly interfaces with:\nHead of CRU and his leadership team \nMatrix relationships with - Audit, Risk, Compliance, CAD & Tax teams\nOperations GRC leads in Egypt, India, Pakistan\n6\nProblem Solving\nEscalate unapproved or recurring exceptions and support the team in suggesting remediation.\nIdentify inconsistencies in reconciliation practices and proofing submission\nAnalyze patterns of QA failures to support process improvements and SOP updates.\n7\nDecision Making Authority & Responsibility\nResponsible for recommending items for escalation based on QA checks and materiality thresholds.\n\nSupports the AVP in defining testing protocols, sampling sizes, and QA cycles.\n\nCannot take final decisions on risk ratings but provides validated data to support them.\n\n8\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience\n7+ years of experience in banking operations, internal controls, or QA/audit functions.\nGood understanding of reconciliation principles, control break classifications, and regulatory expectations.\nStrong analytical skills, with ability to review large datasets and detect anomalies.\nProficient in Excel, QA tracking tools, and reconciliation platforms (e.g., TLM).\nClear and structured communication skills;
