The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. Our goal is always to deliver optimal results at the best possible value.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nManage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.\nMonitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.\nDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision.\nCoordinate and communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel as directed.\nConduct legal and factual research, including case law, statutes, and public records searches, and summarize findings for attorney review.\nPrepare and organize case files, exhibits, and trial binders; maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic case files.\nAssist with the preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including witness and exhibit logistics.\nProcess and track subpoenas, records requests, and third-party discovery.\nReview and analysis of discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case materials.\nRecord and submit contemporaneous billable time in accordance with firm policies.\nCandidate Requirements:\nMinimum of 5+ years of General Liability Defense litigation experience.\nBachelor’s Degree required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress.\nDemonstrated ability to manage a large caseload with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAttendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.\nOrganization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nCustomer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.\nDependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.\nTeamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.\nPersonal Attributes: \nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated and capable of independent work.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProfessional in interactions with a wide variety of individuals.\nSkilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.\nConsistently punctual with excellent attendance.\nFlexible and willing to assist wherever needed.\nDemonstrates understanding of and adherence to firm policies and procedures.\nComfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nWhy Should You Apply?\nMG+M offers a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).\nMG+M will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant’s age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, and veteran or disability status.
