We approach every case as a unified team, working closely with our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Our goal is always to deliver optimal results at the best possible value.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nManage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.\nAssist with all aspects of trial preparation and logistics, administrative/case management, client reporting, expert retention, and client communication.\nMonitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.\nDraft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, motions in limine, and other pre-trial pleadings.\nReview and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.\nCompose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.\nContemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.\nAttendance at trials assisting trial team with all trial related matters.\nFile legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge is a must).\nMaintain attorney Outlook calendars (i.e., schedule appointments, calendar due dates, etc.).\nCandidate Requirements:\n5+ years’ defense litigation experience with Louisiana cases.\nBachelor’s Degree.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.\nAttendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.\nOrganization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nCustomer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.\nDependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.\nTeamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.\nPersonal Attributes:\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated and capable of independent work.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProfessional in interactions with a wide variety of individuals.\nSkilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.\nConsistently punctual with excellent attendance.\nFlexible and willing to assist wherever needed.\nDemonstrates understanding of and adherence to firm policies and procedures.\nComfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nWhy Should You Apply? \nWe offer a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).\nMG+M will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant’s age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, and veteran or disability status.
