The role involves database administration, encryption, security controls, and maintaining reliable database operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct current-state assessments of existing database environments to identify security gaps and improvement opportunities.\nInstall, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise database platforms.\nSupport the implementation of database encryption solutions, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) or equivalent technologies.\nConfigure and manage encryption for data at rest and data in transit.\nEnsure database security configurations comply with National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) cybersecurity controls and organizational security policies.\nSupport the integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of database encryption mechanisms.\nMonitor database performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operation.\nPerform database installation, upgrades, patching, migrations, and version management.\nManage database backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.\nImplement database performance tuning and optimization.\nManage database users, roles, privileges, and access permissions.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, standard operating procedures, and security documentation.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and project teams to implement secure database solutions.\nIdentify, investigate, and resolve database-related issues while ensuring data integrity and system availability.\nEnsure compliance with organizational governance, security, and regulatory requirements.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.\nHands-on experience implementing database encryption technologies such as Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) or equivalent.\nStrong understanding of database security principles, access control, and encryption best practices.\nExperience with database backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and high-availability architectures.\nExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills.\nStrong documentation and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC).\nExperience with enterprise key management solutions.\nExperience supporting government or large enterprise
