This position ensures that parts are accurately identified, inspected, counted, and packaged using the appropriate materials and equipment to support efficient production flow and customer requirements.\nThe Packer is expected to maintain quality standards, follow all safety procedures, communicate production or quality concerns to the Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nEssential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPack parts according to the production schedule using the designated part numbers, packing materials, paper, cartons, and other required supplies.\nInspect parts for correct identification, description, quantity, damage, and overall condition before packaging.\nRemove parts from pre-hang racks and package them according to established specifications and requirements.\nOperate packing equipment as required, including strap machines, shrink-wrap machines, staple guns, rivet guns, and other applicable equipment.\nEnsure parts are packaged securely and accurately to meet established quality and packaging standards.\nFollow production instructions and maintain the required pace to support departmental schedules.\nIdentify and communicate discrepancies involving parts, quantities, packaging materials, equipment, or product quality to the Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor.\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable equipment operating instructions.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.\nHandle, stage, and move packaged parts and materials as required.\nPerform other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThe successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to:\nPack parts accurately on a conveyor line in accordance with established specifications.\nSafely operate or learn to operate applicable packing equipment.\nRead and understand written and verbal work instructions.\nApply basic reading and mathematical skills to verify part descriptions and quantities.\nCommunicate effectively with team members, the Team Lead, and Production Supervision.\nMaintain attention to detail when inspecting, counting, and packaging parts.\nWork effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nFollow safety procedures and maintain quality standards.\nWork collaboratively with others to meet production requirements.\nWork overtime on short notice when required by business needs.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAt least one year of packing experience is preferred.\nManufacturing, production, or packaging experience is beneficial.\nAbility to follow established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.\nAbility to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe Packer position requires frequent physical activity, including:\nStanding for extended periods throughout the work shift.\nLifting, carrying, or moving materials and parts typically weighing 35lbs 30–50 pounds.\nFrequently bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling parts and packaging materials.\nRepetitive use of hands and fingers to handle, position, and package parts.\nOperating packing equipment and working along a conveyor line.\nRemaining physically active throughout the workday.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe Packer works in a manufacturing and production environment within the Packing Department. The position requires adherence to established safety procedures, proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and compliance with applicable equipment operating instructions.\nEmployees are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and communicate unsafe conditions or equipment concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
