Come see why our associates love working at MasterBrand.\nJob Description:\nPosition Summary\nThis position is responsible for accomplishing all duties of the CI Tech with a proven record of success in driving continuous improvement throughout the plant. This position will require Kaizen event participation and facilitation, to ensure continuous improvement projects are implemented throughout the plant. This position is considered “hands-on” during project conception, development, deployment, and sustainment activities.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nParticipates and leads Six Sigma, Kaizen and Safety teams/events. \nAssists in definition, measurement and analysis of problems. \nAudits/validates production process and take corrective action as necessary to train to the documented process. \nDocuments processes through standard work. \nTrains others to the documented standard work. \nAssists with on-the-job training of associates in the assigned department. \nCarries out, responds to and contributes to all written and verbal department instructions. \nComplies with safety rules, regulations and procedures and ensures effective housekeeping practices. \nKnowledge and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required and experience in a manufacturing facility preferred. \nExpert knowledge of departmental manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing \nProven ability to coach other associates on the Five Traits of Success and promote a positive attitude, teamwork, and cooperation in the work group. \nProven ability to lead, teach/train others and demonstrable public speaking skills. \nDemonstrated ability to identify and understand process, product components and manufacturing environment. \nProven ability to establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders, and leadership throughout the organization. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills required. \nProficiency in general office and application software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, QlikView (Warranty Returns), DMR (Discrepant Material), AS400, and associated IBM work queries. \nProven ability to maintain clean, safe and orderly work area, giving safety of self and others a priority. \nProven ability to follow all established safe practices and procedures, including reading and understanding Material Safety Data Sheets. \nWork Environment:\nManufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinetmaking related materials. \nExposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate-controlled environment. \nWearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection. \nAdherence to Entanglement clothing policy required. \nSensory/ Physical Requirements:\nSensory:\nFrequent speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision and touch. \nPhysical:\nFrequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion and extension. \nFrequent change in torso/back position, frequent stooping, bending and twisting. \nFrequent finger dexterity. \nFrequent simple grasp, firm grasp and wrist flexion. \nFrequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and climbing of stairs and ramps. \nFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and carrying. \nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive-motion tasks for the duration of working shift. \nEqual Employment Opportunity\nMasterBrand Cabinets LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
