Come see why our associates love working at MasterBrand.\nJob Description:\nPosition Summary:\nResponsible for supervising overall plant manufacturing operations to meet the production schedule with quality products on a timely basis in a cost efficient and safe manner. By effectively managing the production supervisors, assures production objectives are met within cost, quality and safety standards. Responsible for employment decisions, reviews and overall development of department leaders. Budgetary responsibility for all manufacturing operations.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nMeets production and shipping schedules.\nSupervises/mentors departmental Team Leaders on behavior relevant to MBCI values, policies, procedures and performance standards.\nCoordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.\nMonitors production to assure efficiencies are maintained.\nManages departments such that budget requirements are met.\nComplies with and enforces company safety programs and policies.\nCommunicates with the Engineering Department regarding maintenance methods and Quality Assurance concerns.\nEstablish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.\nControl and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.\nSuggests new manufacturing methods to achieve maximum productivity in a continuous process improvement/lean manufacturing environment.\nAssures production and job time records are accurate and complete.\nPerforms miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.\nSkills and Abilities:\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the company.\nAbility to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.\nAbility to perform those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department.\nKnowledge and Experience:\n5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\n5 years of supervisory experience\nEducation:\nBS degree in manufacturing/operations management preferred.\nWork Environment:\nOffice environment with frequent environmental exposure to low-grade radiation from computer monitors\nManufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinet-making related materials.\nWearing of Personal Protection Equipment required when on manufacturing floor: eye and ear protection.\nSensory/ Physical Requirements:\nSensory:\n· Frequent speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision and touch.\n· Ability to address large groups of Employees at all levels of the organization including Executives in both formal and informal settings.\nPhysical:\n· Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion and extension.\n· Frequent change in torso/back position, frequent stooping, bending and twisting.\n· Frequent finger dexterity.\n· Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp and wrist flexion.\n· Occasional sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling.\n· Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and carrying.\nReasonable Accommodations will be considered for qualified applicants with disabilities\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nMasterBrand Cabinets LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
