Come see why our associates love working at MasterBrand.\nJob Description:\nTeam Lead - Cutting\nJob Title: Team Lead - Cutting\nDepartment: Manufacturing / Production\nReports To: Production Supervisor\nPosition Summary\nThe Team Lead - Cutting is responsible for leading daily operations within the cutting department to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement goals are achieved. This position serves as the first point of contact for team members, provides floor leadership, coordinates workflow, monitors production performance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with supervisors and other departments.\nEssential Responsibilities\nLeadership & Team Management\nLead, coach, and support team members in daily production activities.\nPromote a safe, positive, and respectful work environment.\nAssist with training and onboarding of new employees.\nProvide performance feedback and communicate production expectations.\nMonitor attendance, work habits, and adherence to company policies.\nAct as a resource for team members by resolving routine issues and escalating concerns when necessary.\nProduction & Operations\nCoordinate daily work assignments and manpower to meet production schedules.\nMonitor workflow to ensure material is processed efficiently and accurately.\nEnsure production targets, quality standards, and departmental goals are achieved.\nIdentify production delays and work proactively to minimize downtime.\nMaintain accurate production and departmental records.\nCommunicate shift updates, priorities, and issues to supervisors and other departments.\nQuality\nEnsure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.\nVerify materials and finished components meet specifications.\nAddress quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as directed.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve efficiency.\nSafety\nPromote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.\nConduct routine safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.\nEnsure team members wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nReport workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses promptly.\nContinuous Improvement\nParticipate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRecommend process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and safety.\nSupport implementation of new procedures, equipment, and best practices.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious manufacturing or production experience.\nDemonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.\nWorking knowledge of quality and safety practices.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred\nPrevious team lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience in woodworking, cabinetry, or cutting operations.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nFrequent lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.\nKey Success Measures\nSafety performance and compliance.\nProduction attainment and efficiency.\nQuality results and reduction of defects.\nAttendance and workforce engagement.\nTraining effectiveness and team development.\nContinuous improvement participation and results.\nThe Team Lead - Cutting serves as a working leader who drives operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and teamwork.T\nCompensation Range:\n$25.50-34.22*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nMasterBrand Cabinets LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
