This leader manages highly skilled developers, provides mentorship, ensures delivery at or above departmental standards, and executes within the strategic direction of the department.\n\nHow You'll Drive Success\nTeam Leadership & Development\nManage the team and maintain clear weekly communication regarding expectations, feedback, tasks, and goals.\nServe as a liaison among management, team members, and internal stakeholders.\nDevelop strategies that promote department standards, team and individual growth, and engagement.\nShare best practices, identify professional development opportunities, and empower team members.\nSet clear and measurable goals, provide guidance, and support career development.\nAdminister the performance review process and provide detailed feedback aligned with team objectives, engineering practices, company values, and procedures.\n\nProject Delivery & Operations\nAssist with reporting and on-time delivery of software projects identified by the Director, Software Engineering.\nIdentify, communicate, and mitigate project risks that may affect timely, high-quality delivery.\nAddress issues, oversee workloads, and assess quality, quantity, and compliance.\nPartner with product owners to prioritize and detail stories for developer sizing and execution.\n\nTalent & Team Building\nParticipate in hiring and selection by interviewing and providing candidate feedback.\nSupport team building and onboarding and provide team member training as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nThe Talents We're Seeking\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.\n7-10 years of experience developing commercial applications in C# or C++.\n7-10 years of experience in a domain area relevant to the target scrum team.\n1-3 years of experience providing technical leadership or mentoring in a software development environment.\nExperience developing for Microsoft Windows using Visual Studio.\nExperience with source control, peer reviews, unit testing, Agile software development, and Scrum practices.\n\nRequired Skills\nStrong understanding of object-oriented development and the ability to drive projects to completion.\nAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.\nAbility to design and implement large-scale software projects and deliver high-quality software.\nCommitment to modern development practices and the growth of team members.\n\nWho We Are\nAt Mastercam, we do not just keep pace with manufacturing—we set the pace.
