Financial, organizational and policy responsibilities are included within this position.\nMajor Accountabilities:\nProvide leadership and strategic direction to multiple teams and/or functional areas.\nEnsure approved staffing levels are maintained, departmental and staff education, training and cross training needs are met.\nEnsure that staff has skills and behaviors to perform tasks fully through effective communication of goals, objectives, performance and, as necessary, improvement plans.\nReview, approve and ensure the implementation of new or revised operational processes and procedures.\nProvide appropriate resources and budget to deliver timely, effective, efficient and predictable processing services and continuing improvement of performance.\nRespond to operational and business concerns or issues relative to future business programs, projects, or enhancements to ensure consistent delivery of quality services.\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in related functional area or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree highly desirable.\nKnowledge / Experience:\nExperience managing multiple functional areas especially in the EMVCO 3DS Payments domain.\nExperience developing and managing departmental budgets covering multiple discipline areas. •Formal business or management training including Project Management, Financial Management and Strategic Planning.\n5+ years of experience in related EMVCO 3DS Payments field, with progressively increasing responsibility.\nUnderstanding of and extensive experience with Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.\nProven ability to lead large complex projects and the ability to work effectively with all areas within Global Technology Operations, Corporate Groups and outside solution providers.\nProven verbal and written communications skills are a requirement for this role and experience with the following deliverables is critical: requirements documents, design documents, and project financial analysis.\nSkills/ Abilities:\nAbility to acquire and retain top talent.\nManagement skills necessary to provide functional and directional guidance to direct and indirect staff. Ability to set direction and assure appropriate business outcomes of large or complex projects.\nAbility to approve and implement policy and provide strategic direction for the organization.\nExcellent Communication skills required to interact across multiple organizational levels of internal and external customer groups.\nLead teams to deliver high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget.\nResearch, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs.\nFollow standards in development and testing to ensure compliance with Audit Requirements.\nFollow MasterCard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.\nSupport collection and reporting of project and software metrics.\nActively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.\nMentor and ramp-up junior team members.\nAll About you\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent education.\nExcellent understanding and knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.\nExposure to Agile is mandatory. SAFE Agile experience is desirable.\n15+ years of experience in the software engineering field including Technical Leadership experience.\nExperience in Java, Junits, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and web services. Working exposure to unix systems in beneficial.\nUnderstanding of design patterns\nExperience and knowledge of SQL, PL SQL and Oracle is preferred.\nExperience and knowledge of rest services is preferred.\nWorking knowledge of cloud-based application development like PCF or Azure or any cloud platform is required.\nWorking knowledge of micro services development is preferred.\nMust be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure to meet tight deadlines.\nStrong communication skills -- both verbal and written -
