Director, People Business Partner, Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF)OverviewThe Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) organization drives innovative products and solutions for our customers, unlocking payment and data flows beyond consumer cards across key business areas covering Commercial and B2B, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Transfer Solutions.
The People Business Partner will design and implement a people strategy, which addresses all aspects of the employee lifecycle and organization design and development, and that supports the needs of the vertical organizations, while aligning to the overarching strategy of CNPF and Mastercard. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, People & Capability, CNPF.
The portfolio for this role currently includes:
- Mastercard Payment Services (MPS), a regulated business delivering critical account to account infrastructure across the Nordics.
- Commercial Solutions Engineering, which builds and runs B2B and SME products and solutions that help enterprises whatever their size and wherever they are.
- Applied AI, Data & UK Engineering (ADUX), which builds commercial data, agentic and AI products and frameworks.
Role:
- Delivers a people strategy that supports business priorities and growth strategies for a line of business or market
- May act as a member of the leadership team within a line of business or market
- Partners with business leaders on change management initiatives that support the business strategy and maintain employee engagement
- Provides advice, coaching and support to executives, managers and employees on development, employee relations, workforce planning and rewards issues
- Responsible for the management and delivery of core People and Capability programs in their portfolio
- Partners closely with other Business Partner colleagues to ensure the consistent and seamless delivery of programs and services to the business
- Provides in-depth market insight and advises on talent implications of external trends that may have workforce implications
- Works closely with COEs to deliver programs and customize when necessary. Shares feedback on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
- Serves as subject matter expert on the labor market and regulatory environment
- Partner with Finance to manage the budget and forecasting of expenses related to employees and all other P&C activities.
- May manage a team of Business Partners and Specialists

- Expertise as a People Business Partner supporting global and technical teams.
- Experience in consulting with senior business leaders and coaching people leaders and employees to drive strategic people and culture initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization and develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to design and articulate strategic vision and plans, as well as execute those plans with excellence.
- Strong business acumen coupled with efficient project management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability drive the people and culture agenda with speed, agility and quality.
• Ability to travel domestically and globally, as needed.
