With connections across more than 210 countries and territories, we are building a sustainable world that unlocks priceless possibilities for all.\nOverview\nThe Systems and Platform Architecture team is looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to design and provide oversight for VocaLink solutions through all stages of the development life cycle from bid, concept through architecture, design, build, test and delivery into production.\nRole\nTypically, the role will require the holder to:\nProduce High Level Designs for Platform infrastructure solutions.\nMaintain the technology roadmap for Platform / Unix Solutions in line with end of support dates.\nWork closely with cross functional teams including Delivery, Engineering and Operations.\nEnsure that new solutions conform to policies and standards and meet defined non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, availability, security and manageability.\nIdentify, assess and communicate technical risks to the Business and Operations.\nEvaluate products for project and future usage and take responsibility for trialling new technologies.\nAll About You\nEssential:\nIndepth knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (Oracle Linux / RHEL)\nIndepth knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies ( OVM, KVM, OLVM)\nIndepth knowledge of VMWare (ESX)\nSignificant experience in a demanding, high availability environment\nProven experience of delivering complex technical designs and architectures\nAbility to present complex technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience.\nFlexibility to take on new products, services, strategies and ways of working.\nA clear understanding of how non-functional requirements such as performance and availability are delivered by a technology solution.\nDesirable:\nSolaris 11\nContainers (K8S)\nVMWare (vSAN, vROPs, NSX)\nIT Security experience\nHSM knowledge (Entrust NShield / XC, Thales PayShield)\nThe ideal candidate for this position should:\nContinually look at the market and competition to identify trends and new technologies that will benefit the company.\nIdentify areas for continuous improvement and provide thoughtful and sustainable solutions.\nBe skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.\nBe able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.\nAlways look for potential solutions to solve problems\nCorporate Security Responsibility\nEvery person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
