A Lead Software Engineer position at MasterCard requires hybrid skills that involves hands-on knowledge of software development & quality engineering to develop a resilient software product that is testable in close to fully automated manner. Additionally, role requires in depth understanding of design patterns and perform code reviews.\nRole\nYou will be responsible for programming, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices. Responsibilities include the following:\nLead a team of talented engineers to develop high-performance, high-volume Java applications.\nWork closely with technical leads, architects, and product owners to help define features and user stories.\nDevelop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget.\nResearch, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs current and future.\nWork with project team to meet scheduled due dates, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions.\nDocument software programs per Software Development Best Practices\nFollow MasterCard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.\nContribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.\nSupport collection and reporting of project and software metrics\nDesign and develop test automation scenarios to validate system to system interfaces and complete software solutions (for API and UI tests)\nClosely adhere to quality standards and assist You\nBachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering\n10-13 years of strong hands-on experience of working on Scalable, Multi-threaded software products developed using core Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Batch Hibernate/JPA, Maven/Gradle, PL/SQL, Unix/Shell scrips and deployed on Tomcat.\nExperience of leading one or more scrum teams of software engineers to provide technical direction to the team and resolve blockers faced the development team\nStrong hands-on experience of working on both SOAP & RESTFUL APIs\nKnowledge of Cloud Native Development such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) & AWS\nExcellent hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins\nHands-on experience of working on Test Automation Frameworks & related tools such as Selenium, Rest-assured, TestNG, Postman\nGood understanding of Java/microservices design patterns is expected.\nCreate and own solution design for different features and ability to explain the same to non-technical as well as technical members by documenting the same.\nKnowledge of common industry standard best programming practices.\nAbility to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems.\nExperience working in a dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions.\nAbility to learn and deploy new technologies as needed.\nExperience in building scalable, maintainable applications.\nExcellent verbal and written communication along with the Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.\nExperience using the Agile Methodology and working
