Title and Summary

Manager, Risk ManagementOverview

We are currently looking for a high-performing Manager for the Customer Risk Management (CRM) to focus on global strategy and enablement. The role is based in Bogota, Colombia.

Mastercard has close to $90B credit exposure to its customers and other counterparties worldwide, placing the CRM role as a key part of its evolving and quickly growing business model. The CRM team operates as a vital component of the broader Strategy & Operations organization, playing a critical role in supporting and driving Mastercard’s success. The magnitude and strategic nature of this exposure necessitate engagement with senior management, various key functions within Mastercard as well as our customers. This further provides great opportunities to grow your career within Mastercard.

This role is on the first line of defense, with key responsibilities including devising, designing and enabling enterprise-level CRM strategic initiatives that cut across regions, products and customers.

Role

  • Devising and implementing strategy and roadmap to ensuring consistency, scalability and prioritization across the regions globally
  • Designing, leading and operationalize CRM global initiatives to scale commercial success beyond individual regions. Initial focus including enabling new global risk mitigants for Mastercard customers
  • Partnering with regional leads on customer credit risk assessment and credit solutioning; leading the development and negotiations of select new risk mitigants for customers with the account managers and customers
  • Leading complex cross-functional projects to operationalize and deliver priority items with urgency
  • Building successful relationships across the organizations globally with strong business acumen
  • Performing as the secretary of CRM Strategic Initiatives forum

All About You

  • Significant experience in credit risk management is a prerequisite; experience in / knowledge of the banking sector and knowledge of the payments regulation and landscape is a big plus
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset and ability to move seamlessly between strategy, problem-solving, and execution
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and structuring problems where precedent is limited
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, including at the very senior management levels
  • Ability to lead across functions and across regions globally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is a must

• Graduate degree in business or equivalent
