We are seeking an experienced risk and controls professional with a strong background in technology, payments or financial services.\nYou will be comfortable working across product, engineering, operations and risk teams, able to understand complex issues, challenge constructively and translate risk requirements into practical actions. You will combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic approach to risk and control management.\nThe Role\nAs part of the First Line Risk & Controls team, you will support the implementation and ongoing operation of the risk management programme and internal control framework across RTP International. In this role, you will:\nPartner with product, engineering, operations and risk teams to identify, assess, monitor and manage key risks and controls, providing constructive challenge where appropriate.\nMonitor the risk and control environment, identifying emerging risks, trends, issues and areas requiring management attention or escalation.\nSupport risk and control assessments, assurance activities, operational resilience, business continuity and audit, and drive the effective remediation of identified weaknesses.\nMaintain high-quality risk information and deliver clear, insightful reporting to support management decision-making.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve risk and control processes, monitoring and reporting.\nBuild strong relationships across the business, promoting a strong culture of risk ownership and accountability.\nAll About You\nThe ideal candidate for this position should:\nHave advanced, applied knowledge of risk and control frameworks and the three lines of defence model, ideally within technology, payments or financial services.\nBe able to identify, assess, monitor and manage operational and technology risks, providing constructive and proportionate challenge to the business.\nCombine strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex issues and translate risk requirements into practical, sustainable actions.\nBe a clear and confident communicator, able to produce insightful risk reporting and influence stakeholders across product, engineering and risk teams.\nBe comfortable operating across organisational boundaries, building trusted relationships and promoting risk ownership and accountability.\nDesirable or additional capabilities:\nWorking knowledge of GRC tooling (e.g. Archer, OpenPages).\nFamiliarity with operational resilience, business continuity and audit/assurance activities.\nUnderstanding of real-time payments or critical payment infrastructure.\nA relevant professional risk qualification or certification.\nCorporate Security Responsibility\nEvery person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
