In this senior role, you will lead Level 2+ network support for our application teams and global command centre, driving incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous network optimisation efforts.\nYou’ll apply deep technical expertise in Check Point firewalls, F5 load balancers, Routing and Switching to enhance network performance, reliability, and security. Key responsibilities include packet-level diagnostics, supporting strategic infrastructure projects, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in the out-of-hours on-call rotation.\nThis is a high-impact lead role where you’ll influence Mastercard’s global network operations thinking while fostering operational excellence and team development.\nRole:\nPerform Tier II Network support to the MasterCard business.\nProvide Network support to project teams in support of infrastructure deliverables.\nPerform proactive network analysis to ensure network integrity and performance is in an optimal state.\nCreate or update documentation to support the environment as required.\nPlan, coordinate and implement changes to the network following our internal change control process.\nProduce reports in support of any issues resolved or progressed by you.\nSome on-call responsibility and occasional off hours work required.\nMentor more junior members of the team.\nAll about you:\nHave a track record of leading technical solutions to problems involving cross team collaboration.\nDemonstrated knowledge levels and experience operating in an enterprise class Network Infrastructure environment. Experience in payments industry is a plus.\nStrong Communication and documentation skills.\nStrong analytical/problem solving skills with troubleshooting experience in a pressured environment.\nGood understanding of BGP, IBGP, OSPF routing protocols\nKnowledge of Arista routers and switches for Datacentre.\nCisco routers/switches,\nFirewalls, Checkpoint, fortigate, and Palo Alto.\nPalo Alto Global Protect, supporting cloud infra upgrades and vpn issues for remote workers.\nSDWAN practical exposure in supporting and maintaining SDWAN infrastructure.\nWAN Communications (MPLS/GRE Tunneling)\nKnowledge of working with Teclo carriers in the delivery & maintenance of MPLS/Internet circuits.\nAutomation experience, delivering change or provisioning via the use of automation tools (Glueware, Tufin, Checkpoint CDT, Python scripting, Ansible or others).\nKnowledge of cisco Fabric Path and VXLAN.\nStrong Communication and documentation skills.\nStrong analytical/problem solving skills with troubleshooting experience in a pressured environment.\nExperience in operating under a global follow the sun model.\nMust be able to work individually and as part of a team.\nFlexible and Self-motivated.\nWilling and able to adapt to legacy and new technologies.\nFluent in English.\nALL about you desired:\nExperience in Payments / Fintech industry in support of authorization traffic or file transmissions.\nExperience in working with an operations command center or network operations center in support of Incident calls.\nBasic UNIXLinux scripting skills.\nUse of a variety of network
