The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver best-of-breed authentication products for e-commerce transactional use cases that will drive uptake and penetration for the products and revenue for Mastercard. The authentication products that fall within this role’s responsibilities are ID Check, Token Authentication Service and Token Authentication Framework.\nRole\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will:\nParticipate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders\nEstimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements\nDrive code/design/process trade-off discussions within your team when required\nApply best practices from previous industry experience, whilst adhering to our own engineering principles of writing high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable;\nReport status and manage risks within your primary application/service\nPerform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners\nDrive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks, and review coding, test, and automation work of team members\nIdentify opportunities to improve an overall process and trim waste\nShare and seek knowledge within your Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns/libraries/practices and enhance productivity\nAll About You\nYou should apply if you have:\nA degree in Computer Science or related discipline\nStrong experience with server-side, backend applications and technologies, namely microservices architectures;\nStrong experience using Java / Spring / RESTful APIs\nStrong experience conducting unit, component, integrated and functional tests (e.g. Junit, Mockito, Cocumber etc.)\nYou enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with your colleagues;\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English\nYou are proactive and eager to learn new things\nYou are a team player\nNice to have skills:\nExperience in an Agile environment\nPrevious experience with Microservices, Event Architectures (e.g. Kafka)\nPrevious experience with metrics / reporting tools (Grafana, Splunk, etc.)\nPrevious experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry to deploy cloud-ready applications;\nCorporate Security Responsibility\nEvery person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
