We're helping build the future of small business.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a passionate, strategic, and customer-centric Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of products and experiences for small businesses.\nThis role is ideal for a designer who thrives in ambiguity, embraces emerging technologies, and enjoys turning customer insights into impactful product solutions. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help define product strategy, uncover new opportunities, and create intuitive experiences that deliver measurable customer and business value.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLead end-to-end product design efforts from discovery through delivery across web, mobile, and platform experiences.\nIdentify customer needs, market opportunities, and business challenges through research, data, and stakeholder collaboration.\nHelp shape product strategy by uncovering opportunities that drive customer and business value.\nPartner with Product Managers and Engineers to define vision, prioritize opportunities, ideate, conceptualize, and validate solutions.\nRapidly prototype concepts, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and MVPs using human-centered design principles and AI-assisted design tools.\nPresent design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.\nCreate user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and high-fidelity experiences that deliver exceptional customer outcomes.\nLeverage atomic design principles to build cohesive, scalable experiences that accelerate product delivery while maintaining quality and consistency.\nContribute to scalable design systems and champion high-quality, accessible experiences across the product ecosystem.\nMust Have\n6+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products across consumer, B2B, or B2B2C experiences.\nExpert-level proficiency in Figma, including component systems, prototyping, variables, and scalable design systems.\nExperience using Figma Make (or similar AI-assisted design tools) to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and iteration.\nAbility to translate product vision into scalable experience frameworks, interaction patterns, and reusable components.\nStrong UX foundation with deep understanding of component architecture, behaviors, responsive layouts, and design systems.\nExperience designing for B2B and B2B2C business models; experience launching global products is a strong plus.\nStrong product thinking with the ability to contribute to product strategy and clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs.\nExperience leveraging customer research, usability testing, experimentation, and analytics to inform design decisions and measure outcomes.\nAbility to understand technical constraints and implications when making design decisions.\nDemonstrated success applying Design Thinking and human-centered design methodologies to bring products from concept to market.\nExperience evolving and maintaining design systems to support changing business and customer needs.\nNice to Have\nExperience with service design and customer journey orchestration.\nHands-on experience with vibe coding, AI-assisted prototyping, or modern design-to-code workflows.\nExperience designing AI-enabled products, conversational experiences, or intelligent user interactions.\nExperience working in scaled agile environments with distributed product and engineering teams.\nAll About You\nPassionate about solving complex customer and business problems.\nCurious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.\nProactive and comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal direction.\nCollaborative and able to build strong partnerships across disciplines.\nResilient, agile, and energized by innovation and experimentation.\nStrong visual and interaction design sensibilities with high attention to detail.\nNaturally curious about small businesses and motivated by understanding how entrepreneurs work and make decisions.\nPassionate about emerging technologies and AI-enabled experiences, with a desire to shape how small businesses interact with the next generation of intelligent products and services.\nWhy Join Us\nAt Mastercard, you'll have the opportunity to influence products that help millions of small businesses grow and succeed.
