Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential.\nTitle and Summary\nSoftware Engineer IIOverviewProvides support of applications software through programming, analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions.\nResponsible for programming wherever applicable, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance and support of systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.\nWork with project team to meet scheduled due dates, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions for problems and independently perform assigned tasks\nFollow MasterCard processes.\nAssist Senior Team members in modification of the documentation templates per the needs of the project and technology.\nContribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.\nThorough knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.\nMust demonstrate MC Core Competencies.\n3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering field.\nSkills/ Abilities:\nMust be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.\nMust provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.\nStrong communication skills -- both verbal and written - with strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.\nAbility to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.\nRole:\nBuild functional software that meets the requirements.\nWork with stakeholders and team to understand and develop requirements.\nEnsure security, stability and scalability of our software.\nWork together with team and QA's to automate and simplify the SDLC.\nUse LLMs/ AI for maximum impact but minimum risk.\nShare knowledge and support the growth of your teammates.\nHelping improve our architecture, engineering practices, delivery processes and use of new technologies.\nAll About You:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.\nStrong experience with Java backend development, Automation Framework and required concepts and toolsets.\nSome experience (2 to 4 years) in delivering secure solutions in a heavily regulated sector.\nAdvanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively in a diverse setting.\nAbility to understand complex systems and their interactions with external partners and dependencies.\nAble to work both very independently and in a team setting.\nCurious and eager to learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
