The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset\nRole\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement Azure-based database solutions using services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Data Factory.\nOptimize database performance, scalability, and reliability.\nImplement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.\nMonitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring high availability and data integrity.\nAutomate database deployments and updates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.\nCollaborate with development teams to support data modelling, schema design, and query optimization.\nEnsure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.\nMaintain documentation and provide knowledge sharing across teams.\nAll About You\nRequired Skills & Experience\nProven experience with Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL).\nStrong proficiency in T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, or equivalent.\nExperience with performance tuning and query optimization.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployments.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).\nUnderstanding of data security, encryption, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).\nExperience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent.\nExperience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.\nFamiliarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.\nExperience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).\nCorporate Security Responsibility\nEvery person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
