Our security, data, and innovation capabilities enable trust across the global ecosystem.\nRole Overview\nMastercard is seeking a Vice President, Field CISO, Commercial, for North America to join a global team of senior security advisors responsible for deep customer engagement, executive influence, and cybersecurity thought leadership.\nThis role operates as a frontline interface to the world’s leading CISOs, shaping strategic partnerships and positioning Mastercard as the trusted authority in cyber resilience, fraud, and digital trust.\nThis position is focused on supporting Security Solution's North America Region and driving cybersecurity thought leadership, client engagement, and business growth across the region.\nKey Responsibilities\nRole\nServe as a trusted advisor to senior customer executives, including CISOs, CIOs, CROs, and Boards.\nProvide strategic guidance on cybersecurity, cyber resilience, fraud, digital trust, risk management, and emerging technologies.\nTranslate complex security concepts into business outcomes, risk reduction, and competitive advantage.\nLead executive briefings, advisory sessions, and strategic customer engagements.\nStrengthen executive relationships and position Mastercard as a strategic cybersecurity partner.\nCapture customer insights and market trends to influence product, engineering, and innovation roadmaps.\nPartner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure solutions align with evolving enterprise security needs.\nIdentify emerging market opportunities, customer requirements, and security challenges.\nPartner with Sales, Product, and Services teams to support strategic customer opportunities.\nHelp articulate the business value of Mastercard cybersecurity solutions.\nContribute to revenue growth, customer retention, and executive customer satisfaction.\nRepresent Mastercard at industry conferences, executive forums, customer events, and CISO communities.\nDevelop executive-level content, including presentations, white papers, blogs, and market perspectives.\nServe as a spokesperson for Mastercard's cybersecurity vision and strategy.\nAdvise Mastercard leaders on industry trends, cyber threats, competitive dynamics, and emerging risks.\nDrive executive-level alignment across Security, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Services.\nHelp scale and mature Mastercard's Field CISO capability globally.\nAll About You\nLeadership experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, or related fields.\nExperience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Chief Security Officer, or equivalent senior cybersecurity leader.\nProven ability to advise executive stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy, risk, resilience, and transformation.\nExperience working directly with large enterprise customers and executive-level decision makers.\nBackground in financial services, payments, technology, healthcare, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated industries preferred.\nStrong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.\nExceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.\nProven ability to lead through influence in a global, matrixed organization.\nDeep knowledge of cybersecurity strategy, risk management, threat detection and response, cloud security, identity and Zero Trust, privacy, fraud, digital trust, cyber resilience, AI security, and regulatory frameworks.\nStrong understanding of the evolving cybersecurity, fraud, and digital trust landscape.\nAbility to connect cybersecurity initiatives to business growth, customer value, and risk reduction.\nExperience supporting strategic customer relationships and complex enterprise opportunities.\nStrong understanding of enterprise buying processes and executive decision-making.\nRecognized industry leader with experience speaking at conferences, executive forums, or customer events.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling executive narratives.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar industry certification.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.\nMBA or advanced business degree preferred.\nEstablished network within the cybersecurity and CISO community.\nExperience participating in Board-level cybersecurity discussions.\n• Ability to travel up to 50%.Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
