For over 10 years, Tinder has been the place to meet new people. The new generations of daters think differently about relationships. Today, they’re looking for more and new ways to connect and share experiences.\nOur team in Ghent focuses on these New Experiences: we design, test, and build innovative features that enable new forms of discovery on top of the existing Tinder experience. During this internship, you’ll contribute to an experiment that brings this vision to life.\nThe Assignment\nDevelop an innovative feature that helps users find people in a new way and/or tools that enable this. You’ll collaborate with our multidisciplinary Product, Design, Engineering & Analytics team.\nYou’ll devise a product solution from A to Z. You’ll start with user problems, come up with a product hypothesis that addresses these user problems, and translate this hypothesis into a feature. You’ll test this using user interviews, online user surveys, surveys of people in the target group who are not yet users, usability tests, market tests, etc. Afterwards, you’ll work with our product & design team to create a product brief that the engineering team can work with. You’ll follow up on the project until delivery and then monitor the results.\nDuring an intake interview, we’ll jointly determine the precise scope of the assignment, tailored to your technical background and interests.\nExpected Deliverables\nStrategic and product hypothesis\n\nProof of Concept of the feature (feature specification)\n\nDocumentation of the design (wireframes, mock-ups, flowcharts)\n\nFinal presentation to the team with lessons learned and a demo of a working prototype\n\nWay of Working\nYou’ll work in a multidisciplinary team with product, design, engineering, and analytics.\n\nAgile approach: weekly check-ins, demos, and quick feedback.\n\nAccess to real methodologies we use daily: user interviews, surveys, usability testing.\n\nWhat You’ll Learn\nHow to build for an app with millions of users worldwide.\n\nHow to work in an international, multidisciplinary team.\n\nHow to make an impact with state-of-the-art mobile & backend technologies.\n\nHow to go through the entire process, from idea to prototype to live test.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2274,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Belgium","iso":"BE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Dating & Relationships"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-05T17:47:28Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":10,"expected_fill_days":62,"reasons":["conf:3","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-11-08T05:47:12Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/match-group-product-internship","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/match-group-product-internship.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-08T06:48:45Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14793,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-09T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4277},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4277"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fmatch-group-product-internship"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fmatch-group-product-internship"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fmatch-group-product-internship"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/match-group-product-internship\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fmatch-group-product-internship"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3822798}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"mtch.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3822798},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
