As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will play a key part in supporting financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and month-end activities while providing valuable insights that help drive business decisions.\nAbout the Role\nAs the Financial Analyst, you will work closely with the Vice President, Finance to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and operational decision-making. You will be responsible for analyzing business performance, identifying trends, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong analytical skills with commercial business insight and is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the VP, Finance with financial analysis, business reviews, and management reporting.\nAnalyze revenue, client profitability, operating expenses, payroll costs, and cash flow trends.\nPrepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting.\nSupport annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities.\nPrepare weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash positions.\nAnalyze Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable trends to support cash flow management.\nParticipate in the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.\nEnsure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.\nTranslate financial data into meaningful business insights for operational leaders.\nIdentify financial risks, opportunities, and areas for improved business performance.\nPartner with operational leaders to understand business drivers and improve operational efficiency.\nSupport external audits and respond to audit requests as required.\nParticipate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.\n4-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controllership, or a similar finance role.\nStrong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExperience using ERP or accounting systems such as Microsoft GP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an asset.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.\nCPA designation, CPA candidate, CFA studies, or equivalent professional development is considered an asset.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nWhy Join Match Retail?\nOpportunity to work directly with senior leadership and influence key business decisions.\nHigh-impact role supporting the financial performance of a growing national organization.\nCollaborative, performance-driven culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.\nCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.\nCareer growth and professional development opportunities.\nInterview Process\nOur recruitment process is structured and transparent, with candidates assessed consistently against role-related criteria.\nStep 1: Qualified candidates complete an initial phone or virtual interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist.\nStep 2: Shortlisted candidates participate in a virtual interview with the Hiring Manager.\nStep 3: Selected candidates attend a final interview with the Vice President, Finance and senior leadership.\nAI Disclosure\nWe use AI-assisted tools to help screen resumes for key skills and minimum requirements relevant to the role.
