You will own services end to end. That covers design, implementation, deployment and production support. You will also work directly with product managers, business teams and other stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable systems. \n\nKey Responsibilities \nDesign, develop and maintain scalable Go microservices and RESTful APIs using clean architecture and Go best practices. \nBuild event-driven systems using Kafka, including reliable event processing with patterns such as Outbox, retries and idempotency. \nDesign and integrate webhooks, with delivery guarantees, retries and real-time status updates. \nIntegrate with third-party payment gateways and partners (such as Razorpay or Cashfree-style gateways). This includes transaction flows, reconciliation, refunds and failure handling. \nWork in Go monorepos. Own shared libraries, build and dependency hygiene, and cross-service changes. \nBuild cloud-agnostic, production-ready services. This includes containerization, CI/CD pipelines, observability and environment isolation. \nWrite concurrent, well-behaved Go code. Use goroutines, channels, context cancellation and propagation, and OS signal handling for graceful shutdown. \nDesign efficient data models and optimize queries on relational and NoSQL stores. Use caching (for example Redis) to reduce load and latency. \nOwn the quality of what you ship. Write unit and integration tests, do code reviews and mentor junior engineers. \nMonitor and troubleshoot production systems using metrics, logs and dashboards. Drive root-cause analysis and post-incident fixes. \nCollaborate with stakeholders. Gather and clarify requirements, explain technical trade-offs in plain language, and give clear updates on progress, risks and timelines. \n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications \n5+ years of backend software engineering experience, with strong, hands-on Golang as the primary language. \nSolid understanding of advanced Go mechanics: \nconcurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, sync primitives, worker pools) \ncontext usage and cancellation OS signal handling and graceful shutdown error handling, interfaces and idiomatic design \nProven experience building microservices and distributed systems, with attention to scalability, fault tolerance and resilience. \nHands-on experience with Kafka or a similar message broker, and with event-driven architectures. \nExperience designing and consuming webhooks and REST APIs. \nExperience with payment gateway or third-party financial integrations, including transaction lifecycle, refunds and reconciliation. \nStrong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB). This covers schema design, indexing and query optimization. Familiarity with NoSQL (such as MongoDB) is a plus. \nExperience with Redis or other caching strategies. \nWorking knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines (for example GitHub Actions) and a major cloud platform (AWS or GCP). \nExperience with authentication and authorization patterns (JWT, OAuth, role-based access control). \nFamiliarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Kibana, New Relic and CloudWatch. \nComfortable writing clean, correct, tested Go code. You should be able to solve coding problems efficiently in a live setting. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. You can interact confidently with \nstakeholders, clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and manage expectations. \n\nGood to Have \nExperience with Go monorepos and tooling such as Bazel. \nExperience with API gateways (such as KrakenD) and centralized configuration management. \nExposure to the fintech, payments or e-commerce domain. \nExperience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch. \nExperience with clean architecture or domain-driven design. \nExperience with high-volume, high-concurrency systems (1000+ concurrent users, high TPV). \nPrior experience mentoring engineers or leading small teams. \n\nSoft Skills \nStrong ownership and accountability. \nProactive communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including product, business, QA and operations. \nAbility to break down ambiguous problems and drive them to closure. \nCollaborative, with a habit of sharing knowledge through documentation, design reviews and code reviews.\n\nMatchPoint Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
