They are seeking a skilled Assembly Operative for a permanent role, assembling and testing complex electro-mechanical products including solenoid systems, naval marine manifolds and valve packages.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssemble complex valve and electro-mechanical products in accordance with general arrangement drawings, procedures and technical specifications\nTest completed assemblies using air, fluid and gas pressure media, ensuring products meet defined quality standards\nRead, interpret and validate technical drawings, specifications and build documentation\nDiagnose faults, carry out rectification work and communicate issues effectively to other departments\nMachine sub-assemblies, undertake soldering and complete coil winding activities where required\nUse appropriate measuring equipment to check components against specified tolerances\nClean, label and finish products ready for inspection and packing\nMaintain accurate production records, complete required qualifications and support the training of colleagues\nJob Requirements:\nRelevant engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 or 3, HNC Engineering or equivalent\nSignificant experience in complex valve assembly within continuous, batch production or one-off manufacturing environments\nStrong mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly skills, with a clear understanding of quality requirements\nExperience of pressure testing using media such as air, fluid and gas\nAbility to read, interpret and validate technical drawings, general arrangement designs, procedures and specifications\nStrong fault-finding, problem-solving and technical communication skills\nGood manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and attention to detail\nBasic PC literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to record accurate production data\nBenefits:\nPermanent employment within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment\nOpportunity to work on highly engineered products supporting defence and security applications\nTraining, qualification and skills development opportunities\nSupportive workplace focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement\nInclusive working environment that values diversity and innovation\nIf you have experience in assembly, production, quality control and electro-mechanical manufacturing, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a technically advanced engineering environment.
