This is a permanent opportunity for a finance professional with experience in month-end accounting, reconciliations and VAT compliance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPrepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and other accounting adjustments.\nSupport the timely completion of month-end close processes, management accounts and financial reporting.\nPrepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.\nMonitor aged balances and ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate and audit-ready.\nPrepare periodic VAT returns, maintain indirect tax records and support VAT audits and tax authority enquiries.\nAssist with external and internal audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations and supporting evidence.\nSupport compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.\nProvide ad hoc reporting and analysis, assist with statutory accounts preparation and maintain accurate financial records.\nJob Requirements:\nPart-qualified accountant studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or an equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.\nExperience in month-end accounting processes, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.\nUnderstanding of VAT principles, indirect tax records and statutory compliance requirements.\nStrong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems or ERP platforms such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.\nHigh attention to detail, accuracy and sound financial control awareness.\nStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.\nKnowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting requirements
