As part of a rapidly expanding supply chain function, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, influence supplier strategy and help shape procurement processes from the ground up.\nIf you're someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex supply challenges and wants to play a key role in scaling a manufacturing operation, we'd love to hear from you.\nThe Opportunity\nWorking alongside Operations, Engineering, Production and Logistics teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring materials, components and supplier relationships support an ambitious growth trajectory.\nYou'll take ownership of purchasing activities, build strong supplier partnerships and proactively manage supply risks, while contributing to wider procurement initiatives focused on cost, quality and scalability.\nThis role offers genuine progression potential as the wider supply chain function continues to evolve.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nManaging the procurement of materials, components and engineering-related products.\nRaising and expediting purchase orders to support production requirements.\nDeveloping and strengthening relationships with suppliers across the UK and internationally.\nMonitoring supplier performance, lead times and inventory levels.\nNegotiating pricing, delivery schedules and commercial agreements.\nSupporting supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWorking closely with Production Planning teams to ensure material availability.\nIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting sourcing projects.\nAssisting with the implementation of supplier scorecards and performance metrics.\nSupporting longer-term procurement strategies and framework agreements.\nMaintaining accurate purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems.\nHelping improve processes within a growing procurement and supply chain team.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential\nExperience within a Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain role.\nBackground within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.\nSupplier management and negotiation skills.\nExperience managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving business.\nCommercial awareness and analytical thinking.\nConfident stakeholder management and communication skills.\nERP/MRP systems experience.\nProactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently.\nDesirable\nExperience purchasing raw materials, metals, machined components or engineering products.\nKnowledge of supplier performance management and vendor scorecards.\nExperience within aerospace, defence, automotive, Formula 1, precision engineering or advanced manufacturing sectors.\nCIPS qualification or working towards completion is desirable\nUnderstanding of production planning, inventory management or demand forecasting - desirable\nWho Will Succeed?\nThis business is looking for people who are excited by growth, change and opportunity.\nYou'll be naturally curious, commercially minded and comfortable operating in an environment where things move quickly.
