Working within a team of software engineers, the role will focus on developing, integrating and maintaining Windows-based data capture, analysis and training systems that support complex products and their associated subsystems.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop system interface software to capture and analyse performance data\nSupport the setting to work of software on Windows hardware for target testing\nArchitect and implement robust, scalable and maintainable multi-threaded applications\nContribute to the design, development, integration and verification of software solutions\nLead and support system integration, verification and testing at component and system levels\nCarry out performance analysis, debugging and optimisation of real-time systems\nWork closely with subsystem design teams and manufacturing teams\nDocument software architecture, interface definitions and test procedures to support formal testing and handover\nJob Requirements:\nExtensive experience in C++ and C# development within a Windows environment\nStrong proficiency in C#, including its use for tooling, test interfaces and Windows components\nExperience developing multi-threaded and concurrent software applications\nStrong understanding of software design principles, memory management and performance optimisation\nExperience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines\nUnderstanding of software requirements and technical documentation processes\nAbility to contribute to software integration, verification and testing activities\nA relevant degree or equivalent professional software engineering experience would be advantageous\nDesirable Skills:\nFamiliarity with unit testing frameworks, automated test rigs or hardware-in-the-loop testing\nExperience using GitLab, SonarQube, JIRA and Confluence\nExperience with IBM DOORS for requirements management and test evidence\nPrevious experience in Defence, Aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment\nIf you are an experienced C++ / C# Software Engineer with strong Windows development and concurrent programming skills, our client would welcome your application.
