This permanent, site-based role will involve the successful delivery of complex substation, cabling and major civil engineering works, including infrastructure operating at 400kV and above.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTake full accountability for the safe, timely and financially controlled delivery of civil, substation and cabling projects.\nSet and maintain high standards across the project, ensuring contractual requirements and project objectives are achieved.\nPlan, review and deliver contract programmes, ensuring milestones are met and project requirements are clearly identified.\nIdentify, manage and resolve operational issues in a controlled and timely manner, escalating business-critical matters when required.\nLead and manage Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.\nMaintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, providing clear project progress updates.\nEnsure appropriate operating plans, resources, materials and workforce arrangements are in place.\nManage commercial activities, cost control, project margins and key financial performance measures.\nOversee subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed standards.\nDrive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company, client and statutory requirements.\nSupport project teams in achieving programme, quality and commercial objectives throughout the project lifecycle.\nJob Requirements:\nSignificant experience delivering HV transmission and distribution, substation or major civil engineering projects.\nExperience working as a Civil Project Manager, Substation Project Manager, Cabling Project Manager or similar senior project delivery role.\nUnderstanding of 400kV and above power transmission infrastructure and complex multidisciplinary enhancement projects.\nExperience delivering projects within programme, budget and commercial controls.\nStrong knowledge of construction planning, project governance, health and safety and quality management.\nExcellent leadership, stakeholder management and client relationship skills.\nAbility to manage subcontractors, resolve operational challenges and make effective commercial decisions.\nHNC, HND, NVQ Level 5 or a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.\nExperience working within regulated infrastructure sectors such as Power, Utilities, Rail, Highways, Water or Nuclear is advantageous.\nBenefits:\nBasic salary up to £65,000, with flexibility up to £70,000 for exceptional candidates.\nCompany Car or £8,000 Car Allowance.\n10% Annual Bonus, with a strong track record of being paid in full over the last five years.\nJoin a business with a secured, multi-billion-pound pipeline of energy infrastructure projects.\nPrivate Healthcare.\n27 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays, with additional company leave days during the year.\nCompetitive pension scheme with employer contributions up to 7.5%, with options to increase personal contributions.\nLife Assurance.\nEmployee benefits platform including Perkbox and a range of retail, leisure and wellbeing discounts.\nAnnual health initiatives including flu vaccinations.\nOngoing investment in professional development, training and career progression.\nAccommodation and lodging support provided where project travel exceeds 50 miles or 90 minutes from home.\n45-hour working week.\nSite-based role operating 5 days per week.\nAlternative working arrangements, including 10 days on / 4 days off, may be considered subject to project requirements.\nOvertime opportunities available and paid at 1.3x standard rate, where applicable.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Manager to contribute to some of the UK's most significant power transmission and energy infrastructure projects while working within a supportive, growing and forward-thinking organisation.
