Contract Manager

Our client, a leading organisation within the gas, transmission and distribution, and oil and gas sectors, is seeking a Contract Manager for a permanent opportunity. The role is suited to an experienced M&E Project Manager with strong gas industry knowledge, technical understanding and the leadership skills required to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the successful delivery of gas, mechanical and electrical projects from planning through to completion
• Providing strong leadership to project teams, site personnel and delivery partners
• Planning programmes, resources, procurement activities and project milestones
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, local authorities and the supply chain
• Using gas technical knowledge to support project delivery, decision-making and problem resolution
• Monitoring project performance, quality, costs, health and safety, and compliance requirements
• Coordinating contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely project completion
• Identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Contract Manager, M&E Project Manager or similar senior delivery role
• Strong technical experience and knowledge within the gas industry
• Understanding of gas transmission and distribution, oil and gas, or related engineering environments
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects
• Strong planning, organisational and commercial awareness
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with clients, local authorities and supply chain partners
• Confident communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Commitment to health and safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance
