Working on the prestigious Type 26 Frigate programme, you'll play a vital role in installing and commissioning the electrical systems that power the next generation of Royal Navy vessels.\nThis is an opportunity to apply your trade skills in a unique, large-scale engineering environment while contributing to projects of national importance.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nInstalling a variety of cable types including multi-core, single-core and coaxial cables\nInstalling electrical systems and equipment including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers and switches\nCompleting cable terminations and electrical equipment installations\nReading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation\nCollaborating with multi-disciplinary shipbuilding teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to schedule\nMaintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship at all times\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential Requirements\nModern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent electrical trade qualification\nValid SJIB Card\nAbility to provide trade papers as part of the application process\nExperience working within marine, shipbuilding or major industrial environments\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical instructions\nUnderstanding of risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH and safe working practices\nKnowledge of isolation, tag-out and proving-dead procedures\nExperience mounting electrical equipment, earthing components and carrying out cable terminations to trade standards\nShift Patterns\nDays: Monday to Thursday, 07:00-16:30\nNights: Monday to Thursday, 20:30-06:00\nWeekends: Friday to Sunday, 07:00-19:30\nThe Team\nThe Electrical Team builds the power and control systems that bring Type 26 frigates to life.
