Overview
Our client, a leading organisation in the communications and advanced technology sector, is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for a contract opportunity. The role will support the assembly, testing and maintenance of complex electronic and communications products, ensuring that manufacturing activities meet rigorous quality and production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assembling, wiring and integrating electronic, electrical and mechanical components in accordance with technical instructions * Carrying out functional testing, inspection and fault-finding on manufactured products and assemblies * Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation * Using a range of hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely and effectively * Recording accurate production, inspection and test results in line with company procedures * Investigating manufacturing issues and supporting corrective and continuous improvement activities * Working closely with engineering, quality and production teams to meet delivery requirements * Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant manufacturing environment
Skillset/experience required:
- Experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering technician environment * Understanding of electronic, electrical or mechanical assembly processes * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics * Experience using test, measurement and diagnostic equipment * Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality inspection * Ability to identify faults, resolve production issues and follow technical procedures * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team * Awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
