You'll lead test activity from requirements through to bench/system validation, supporting safe, production-quality releases.\nWhat you'll do\nLead embedded software test delivery to programme timescales\nDefine test strategy, plans and specifications; execute and report results\nRun bench / HIL / system integration testing and practical validation\nDebug issues, investigate defects, and support root-cause analysis\nValidate safety-related behaviour in line with ISO 26262\nWork closely with controls, hardware and systems teams, plus customers/suppliers\nMentor junior engineers and drive good testing/documentation practice\nWhat you'll need\nStrong experience in embedded software testing (OEM / Tier 1 / similar)\nGood knowledge of embedded C/C++ and firmware testing on bespoke hardware\nTest lifecycle experience (requirements → strategy → execution → reporting)\nScripting / automation using Python (or similar)\nWorking understanding of functional safety and ISO 26262\nComfortable producing clear engineering documentation (test specs, reports, work instructions)\nAutomotive networks & diagnostics: CAN/CAN-FD, UDS, OBD, J1939 (FlexRay beneficial)\nConfident communicator with internal and external stakeholders\nEngineering/Science degree (or equivalent experience)\nNice to have\nUML/SysML exposure; model-based tools (e.g., Simulink/TargetLink)\nExperience testing BMS, inverters, DC/DC, onboard chargers\nAutomotive SPICE awareness; calibration/diagnostic tool experience\nControl systems understanding\nApply\nIf you're an embedded software test engineer with strong C/C++ and automotive validation experience, apply to be considered.
